You don't need clarity, you need more faith.

"When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron. “Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt.”

- Exodus 32:1 (New Living Translation)

This week's scripture comes in right after all the miraculous acts God did to deliver the children of Israel from the Egyptians. Here they are, freshly delivered from slavery, a whole red sea was parted, a visible pillar of cloud and fire has been guiding them, bread done fell out of heaven to feed them AND God helped them win their first battle in the wilderness.

I mean God has provided so many physical signs that He exists and is on their side at this point that, in this day in age, we WISH we could have. But, even with all the most obvious signs God could ever provide a people, they still out here doubting Him! Why do you think that is?

Because physical signs do not substitute for an intimate relationship with God.

Moses had the deep, intimate relationship with God, not the Israelites. And up to that point, they had only built a relationship with a man, not God. That's why it was so easy for them to throw their whole god away when the man stopped meeting their expectations (now that's a whole other message for another day, but I digress).

But truly, it does not matter how many physical signs God gives you, if you don't have a firmly established relationship with Him, you still won't believe. Let me say it another way just to make this even more relevant to you:

It doesn't matter how much clarity God gives you if you don't have enough faith in Him to actually act on what He's showing you.

In a lot of ways, looking for clarity is a lot like looking for signs. Now I don't mean we should never pray for clarity, that's not what I'm saying at all. What I'm saying is, if you've been stuck not having clarity for a long time and it's continued to prevent you from moving forward, that's an indicator that you don't have a clarity problem, you have a relationship problem. And that's ok, don't get down on yourself about it because guess what? God has a solution for that:

Spend time with Him!

The Bible says that His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Clarity comes through spending time taking in His word. And Who is the Word anyway? Jesus is (John 1:1-17). So when we spend time in the word, we spend time with Jesus #RelationshipGoals.

The other great thing that happens when we spend time hearing & learning about Jesus is that faith comes (Romans 10:17). And we've already learned that faith is a necessary ingredient for acting on the clarity God sends our way.

That's why as believers, we have to get as serious about building our faith in God as we are about building our businesses. Because entrepreneurship is a faith 👏🏾 walk 👏🏾.

There's no way you're going to be able to excel to the heights in business that you're envisioning without first establishing a firm foundation of faith in God. And I don't just mean believing that He sent Jesus and He rose from the dead; that's huge, but it's only the beginning. After that, you need to develop your trust muscle. Why? Because entrepreneurship will try you ok!? And if your trust muscle stays weak, it won't be able to support you in manifesting the tremendously BIG things God wants to do through your business.

So if this word was for you, don't let another year go by without acting on it. Your business and the people God has called you to serve depend on it. The legacy and generational wealth you're believing to build for your family depend on it.
