You are already greatness.

"And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, 'The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!'...Then the Lord turned to him and said, 'Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?'”

- Judges 6:12, 14 (New King James Version)

Last week I shared how God encouraged me in the midst of my poor financial habits by telling me that the real me is an excellent financial steward. The next day He encouraged me even more by bringing this scripture about Gideon to my remembrance. I had decided I was gonna write about it this week and then, earlier today, He gave me ANOTHER encouraging word about this through my sis and her amazing therapist (check out her IG stories) that I knew had to be the title of this week's message. Needless to say, I believe you need to hear this good word as much as I did so I'm sharing it!

God came and called Gideon a mighty warrior before he had done anything mighty. In fact, at the time God came to him, Gideon was literally hiding from his enemies. He was actively being the exact opposite of mighty—a coward. And even when Gideon gave God all the excuses for why he wasn't worthy of this title, God basically didn't even acknowledge his negative self talk and told him to go and be mighty like He said.

That's because God knows you better than you know you.

No matter what your current reality looks like, how trash your habits currently are or how low and unworthy you see yourself, God sees the true you. And the true you is mighty! I know it may be difficult to accept that, but you have to trust that God really is God. He created you and therefore He knows truth about you that you haven't even begun to uncover! So close your eyes and think about whatever negative thing you've been, then imagine the extreme, positive opposite of that; that's the real you! So see yourself the way God sees you and receive the fact that you are ALREADY greatness!
