Trust God & Make a Move.

[Felt led to share this throwback from February 19, 2019 today. I've adjusted it a little bit from the original message based on what I'm sensing today.]

“But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.’ ‘How will this be,’ Mary asked the angel, ‘since I am a virgin?’”

- Luke 1:30-34 (New International Version)

Do you have a decision or a move to make that you've been paralyzed about making? Have you been praying incessantly over it but still feel like you're not getting an answer from God? Or have you been paralyzed because you're trying to figure out how it's all going to work? Let me help you real quick.

Make a move.

I know how difficult it can be to pull the trigger—especially as it relates to moves that require a significant investment of your time, money or other resources. And ESPECIALLY when you truly don't want to walk outside of the will of God. Here’s what I’ve learned though:

Clarity often comes in the doing, not in the thinking.

In our text this week Mary was just told that she was getting ready to get pregnant and have a baby who would be the savior of the world. She wasn’t tripped up on the fact that the WHOLE entire Messiah was going to be coming from her womb; she just couldn’t wrap her head around how it was going to happen since she clearly hadn’t been with a man yet.

Sometimes the how paralyzes us and keeps us from moving forward when if we just made a move, everything would start to make sense. Real talk, often the more you try to think about something the more you get confused. And I’m starting to realize that it’s a flaw in our thinking to believe that once we make a decision for our business, that’s it and we’re stuck with it forever. No. You can always pivot later.

Your decision is a pathway, not a ball and chain. You’re in control.

The very foundation of innovation is to try something, learn from it, pivot, repeat. When you start looking at your decisions as experiments instead of marriages, your divine creativity will develop solutions you couldn’t see until you let go of the care of the outcome. Just like Mary learned, God already has it all figured out. Your job is to just to acknowledge Him in all your ways and let Him handle the rest (Proverbs 3:6). Now get to movin’. #execute

  • Genesis 25:21-26 → I believe a lot of times we can't figure it out because we have multiple "nations" inside of us that we're birthing & it's all mixed together right now. But trust, God will make it all make sense in time.
