The things you've been praying for are waiting on you.

"A voice of one calling: 'In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'"

- Isaiah 40:3 (New International Version)

The other day, money was calling in the form of an interested coaching client and, as excited as I was about receiving a new dope human into my care, communication with them stretched past my normal working hours and I was faced with a choice: overstep my boundaries to seal the deal or, honor my boundaries, trust God and not be thirsty. I chose the latter. It felt good. No, it felt GREAT actually. And even better when they still became a client the next day.

Recently God impressed upon my heart how this wilderness period has not only required getting my business foundations together; it's also been about getting my life infrastructure in order too. Ya'll know I've been working on my financial habits. Boundaries are another area I work diligently to enforce. Next up I have to create more harmony between working on my business while not neglecting other important areas of my life like my health, exercise and relationships. While we all have grind seasons where our focus can be extremely single-minded, I believe, for me, that this wilderness season has been a space for me to consciously transition out of the grind season and into a season of more rest, harmony & the abundance I've been preparing for.

What does this have to do with this week's scripture you ask? Even though this scripture was a prophetic voice speaking of the first coming of our Savior, God in His infinite wisdom and dopeness highlighted this verse to me as it relates to the preparation we're doing in the wilderness. He Himself is coming to you. The things you've been praying for, the blessings you've been waiting on, the manifestation of dreams you've had for a long time are all en route to you as we speak. In fact, I believe they're already perched to drop on you at a moment's notice, as soon as you're able to safely handle them.

That's what this verse is telling us today. While you're in the wilderness, prepare the way for all God's goodness to come to you! Get rid of poor habits, unkept boundaries & poor work / life balance that will only get worse when the blessings come (and potentially crush you, your health, marriage, etc in the process). God wants to bless you but He prioritizes your well being over all, so if it's between you or the blessing, guess what? The blessing can wait.

I don't know about you, but I don't wanna wait any longer than I have to. I'm trying to be outside like the people that guide planes into their terminal at the airport like "Right here God, I'm ready for You! It's alll clear!" lol! What about you?
