My God's pockets run deep.

“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.”

- 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (New King James Version)

The other night I was climbing into bed and caught myself thinking that I need to buckle down and get ready to be poor for a spell while I get used to not getting a paycheck every two weeks. (First of all, I don’t even use words like “spell” so you know this couldn’t have come from me. 😂)

But while there is a lot of truth and practicality to that thought that can’t be ignored, what I’m NOT gonna do is train my mind to think broke, lack, poverty or any other mess like that when My God, who I claim to be my Father, is the wealthiest being in existence.

Wealth and riches literally come from Him (1 Chronicles 29:12)

He owns our planet and everything it contains (Psalms 24:1-2, Psalms 50:12)

He is the One Who made the wealthiest man in history, the wealthiest man in history (2 Chronicles 1:12)

So there’s no question of whether or not God can take care of you when you need it. His pockets run DEEP deep! And He takes pleasure in the prosperity of those who work for Him (Psalm 35:27). Don’t you call God your CEO? Aren’t you trying your hardest to live out His plan and purpose for your life every day? That means you work for Him and the benefits of that work are tremendous (Psalm 103:1-5).

Don’t let yourself get caught up accidentally preparing for lack when you already know that's not God's plan for you. No, instead prepare for the abundance of wealth coming your way. Then, use that power that God has given you to create it and go out there and do just that. Believe that He’s got wealth and riches laid up for you, just waiting for you to come and grab. And you better believe that if He put a dream in your heart, gave you a business idea or called you to walk out on the water to Him? He got you!
