I create with my Creator.

“Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

Full disclosure, I had no idea what I wanted to share today until this morning. I wasn’t feeling the usual oomph in a certain direction like usual and, honestly, that’s how I prefer to write. I want to be inspired when I write, not just writing because I’m fulfilling a commitment. I was actually talking to a good friend of mine last night who was going through the same thing -- she’s committed to sharing a message to her audience each week and sometimes, it’s just not there to give (or at least that’s what it feels like).

But sometimes you just have to start, trusting God that the words will come; the design will come, the knowledge will come, the audience will come. Isn’t that the very essence of our life in Christ? Walking by faith. Faith can’t be seen, heard, felt, smelled or tasted UNTIL you use it. Until you employ its power to create the thing that you’re believing for, the vision that you see in your mind’s eye.

If Peter never got out of the boat, he never would have walked on water.

If I never sat down to write my book, I wouldn’t be hitting your inbox right now.

If you never acted on that idea you had, you wouldn’t have a busy roster of clients right now, or have ever gotten your first sale, or met your business partner.

What I’m sensing right now, as I write these words is this:

No matter what it feels like, the power of God is always present with us to make our hopes a reality.

All we have to do is make a move! That move is our sign of faith that we actually believe He’s going to come through on our behalf. My act of faith this morning was literally opening up my weekly email Google doc to a clean page, asking God for help and starting to type.

Before I finally decided to start though, I had spent the last few days worrying about the fact that I didn’t know what I was going to write today. Then this morning I was looking through my log of email ideas and trying to pick the one God wanted me to write about. Basically looking for some sort of feeling about a certain one instead of just trusting Him to work through me to create it from scratch. I’m done with that life TUHDAY. The feeling I have right now of these words just flowing through me is unbelievable! I love creating with God!!!! And do you know that in the course of me writing this email He just gave me the next two weeks of messages!?! While I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to write this week, He’s got messages on deck if I just sit back and flow with Him! Our God is so awesome! If you just trust Him there is NOTHING He can’t do!!!!

What’s your move today? Are you waiting for the waters to stir on something you’re working on like the man in our scripture today? (or, let’s be serious, like I was 🙋🏾?) Let me help you right quick: 🗣 GET UP AND WALK!  As you get up and take that first step, God’s creative power living inside you activates and gets busy creating the very thing that you had the audacity to step out on. Try it. I bet you’ll feel the same divine energy surging through your being that I’m feeling right now and, trust me, it feels good!
