God can do it in 24 hours.

"The Lord said to Moses, 'I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’ That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp."

- Exodus 16:11-13 (New International Version)

-----
I just assembled another petition toward God like I shared about last week. This one was for provision I'm requesting from Him quickly as I'm now practicing petitioning Him first when I have time-based needs vs going to myself / my business first. In the process of pulling together my scriptures for this petition, The Holy Spirit brought the following stories up in the Bible:

  • Jesus telling Peter to fish for the temple tax in Matthew (17:24-26)
  • The widow and the jars of oil (2 Kings 4:1-7)
  • When Jesus told Peter to cast his net on the other side and he caught all those fish (Luke 5:1-11)
  • The two times Jesus fed the people with a few fish & loaves (Matthew 16:9-10)
  • This week's scripture referenced above

What I saw for the first time ever was that in every single one of these instances, the provision was provided in 24 hours or less! Isn't that cool?! I thought so! For example, look at this week's scripture in Exodus. The Israelites had been grumbling against God at some point during the day. God had them assemble to speak to them and told them that later THAT SAME DAY He would rain down quails and then THE FOLLOWING MORNING He would send bread. What!? Do you see that? And they weren't even petitioning Him about it, they were complaining about it and He did this! How much more will He provide for His kids who come to Him in worship and praise and in faith in His Jehovah Jireh-ness!?? How much more!?

The other amazing thing I saw in every one of these instances was that God provided specific instructions to the people in need. Study it out for yourself! And the instructions came immediately too. So not only do you have grounds in God's word to ask Him for immediate provision (because He's the same yesterday today & forever (Hebrews 13:8) so if He did it before for them He can and WILL do it again for YOU), but you also can ask Him to provide you with the specific instructions needed to bring forth your provision speedily. You have the Holy Spirit living inside you and He's ready to speak if you can just get quiet and listen!

If you need immediate provision from God right now, I encourage you to assemble a petition based on the scriptures I shared above and whatever the Holy Spirit brings to your mind, ask Him for it in faith and then get quiet and get into His word and wait for His instruction (Psalm 119:105). Try it and try your God! He won't fail you!

Still hungry? Eat some more //

  • I encourage you to study and feed on each of the above scripture references. I trust that God will minister to you as you do.
  • Just because I'm practicing going to God first doesn't mean I'm not still also using my own means too. This message isn't to shame you for using your job or business or whatever else you use to provide for yourself; this is to give you an additional tool for your arsenal 😊 I think I'll talk about this more in next week's newsletter so stay tuned!
  • At this moment, you may not even feel like you have faith for God to provide for you this quickly, and that's ok! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:14-17)! So again, study the scriptures for yourself to build your faith. Also, ask God to help your unbelief (Mark 9:24). He will! You can also listen to my IG live talk about this here.
  • Psalm 104 & Psalm 50:15 → read these after sending this email yesterday and are good "food" for how God provides for us and is all powerful to do so.
